Undergraduate students

• Undergraduate students can work in our research team in Spring-Summer or Fall-Winter. A prerequisite is a basic knowledge of statistics, probability, and computing.
• Routes to work in our research team.
  • NSERC USRA or James Stewart Student Research Award. Call for applications are expected between mid-February and mid-March in 2023.
  • Current undergraduate students can contact me in Spring/Summer (May-August) 2023 to take STATS 4T06 in Fall 2023. The outline for STATS 4T06 is found here.

Graduate students

• Graduate students can apply through Statistics or Computational Science & Engineering programs.

• Some additional steps to the above procedures to work in our research team (master’s thesis and Ph.D. programs):

  • Decide your application term (suppose it is Fall 2023).
  • Decide whether you can satisfy the minimum requirements describe in the above program websites by the application deadline.
  • Decide whether you’re interested in our current research direction.
  • Send me an email at jeganp1@mcmaster.ca between mid-October (2022) and mid-November (2022), which includes
    • your transcripts,
    • CV (maximum 2-pages),
    • a link to any Github repository showing your past computational work (doesn’t need to be perfect),
    • research interests (two lines - what is it and why).
    • Your email subject must be Prospective students.
